Ok Everyone, Lets Make These Last 10 Months Count (August 2019)
Lets try and make these last months a great one for the site and the community as a whole. Its an understandable move from Google and well I love what this community has accomplished and all the frequent users that helped it grow. For now however lets keep that gaming related content flowing in. Anything about the shut down remains here, spamming the news will get your post removed!
I recommend that any posts about the shutdown should be immediately removed since this is pinned.

No account information was exposed. It was purely email addresses (easy to find anyway) and personal identification information (birthdays, gender, etc.) Nothing too compromising, so don't worry about your password. Still though... Rip in pieces.

ReplyDeleteDJ Yeah overall Google didn't fix anything about this site, they let it become a mess around mid 2016 when porn spam and foreign spam starting becoming worst. I can't beleive im saying this but Googles first mistake was forcing comments through youtube and then expecting users to stick around, then the mobile app in 2017 started having so many glitches and bug and now 2018 the mobile app is unusable, awful uI AND security issues. sucks man

It’s just a random mess.. good things in it but just a mess
I only use G+ for this community as well as one for the NFL, so it won't impact me too much to see it go, but I was hoping Google was going to go in the other classic Google direction of "release something half baked, abandon it, then circle back later and make it great", but oh well.

ReplyDeleteThegaming Terminator544 same but I sorta saw the health of the site weakening over time. After the 2016 redesign they started having some awful site bugs and poor optimization, no one was maintaining the site for a long time, its even harder to moderate now because there's so many bot spam accounts and zombie accounts (new) that well it's depressing

ReplyDeleteSlayer 1 probably idk we are already trying to grow the reddit, Gaming (the owner) might decide that, but for now the remaining mods are just trying to find a new home. (Basiaclly we are already building the Discord and Reddit page, alot of work behind the scenes)
