  1. Strongly prefer Single Player games with multiplayer over split screen offline, either it be co-op campaign or just versus.

  2. It really depends on what it is and who im playing with if its co op or not and if they make it more difficult on me playing with someone else or not

  3. Favourite single player game: Nier Automata tied with Beyond Good and Evil
    Favourite multiplayer game: Battlefield 2142

  4. I like multiplayer because I can play with friends. I only have 2 single player games which are just cause 3 and dirt rally which get kind of boring without friends to play with

  5. Depends on my mood. If I feel like being sociable it's multiplayer but if I I'm in a quiet contemplative mood and want to get totally immersed then it's single player

  6. I play single player at least 99% of the time. RPGs are my favorite.

  7. Most games these days are single player, like i want a co op game to play with my friende

  8. Singleplayer cause no annoying teammates and load times. Also cause I dont have to pay for PS+

  9. XB1GC Yeah, and single player games can offer such great, unforgettable experiences. Great interactive stories, music, characters... worlds to immerse yourself in. That's why I choose role-playing games as a genre over anything.

  10. Joona Ahonen I mean, multiplayer games can offer all of those things too.

  11. Dreadnaughty Well, which multiplayer game has a great world like Fallout? If you don't see that world as highly as I do, think about Planescape: Torment, The Witcher series, or any other RPG regarded as a great.

  12. I like single player campaigns.

  13. Joona Ahonen World of Warcraft has a pretty interesting world, and I know their main focus isn’t multiplayer but all of the Souls games have great, immersive worlds filled with great characters and music.
I’ll never forget my experience playing Planetside 2 for the first time, being launched feet first into a giant, gritty battle, and becoming immersed in the war torn battlefields of the many continents. Sure, its unforgettable for a different reason, but I think it’s still one of the best experiences I’ve had in a video game, and it came from a multiplayer game.

  14. Dreadnaughty The multiplayer aspect always takes away the immersion. Also, the Souls games aren't very focused on multiplayer, since they are singleplayer by default. I was talking about multiplayer-only games, like Fortnite.

  15. How is multiplayer less popular than simgleplayer, the only singleplayer game that I thoroughly enjoy is assassin's creed

    ReplyDelete
  16. Then again I could always go for some fallout or elder scrolls

    ReplyDelete
  17. Joona Ahonen and World of Warcraft? That’s multiplayer only.
Personally I find some multiplayer games more immersive than single player ones. ARMA 3 multiplayer is brilliant, as is the before-mentioned Planetside 2, before it went downhill anyway. I’m looking forward to Insurgency Sandstorm too.
Of course, it’s easier to get immersed when there aren’t screaming kids and people doing stupid dances, but it really comes down to the game you’re playing.

  18. Single player but co-op campaigns are always fun.

  19. Dreadnaughty Well, I suppose not every multiplayer game is something I'd hate, but it's easier to find singleplayer games for my tastes.

  20. I don't mind multiplayer. I just prefer playing solo on most games like Monster Hunter. And I am looking forward to Octopath Traveler so there goes another Single Player game.

  21. I love both each has some thing different to offer but since I have to choose i'll go with single player. Because of games like UC4, Halo 3 Rise of the Tomb Raider etc

  22. Single player >>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>> multiplayer

  23. I mean I mostly enjoy single player but multiplayer is fun too with the right people. However I love games with good story and most of those are either singleplayer or overall just better playing alone

    ReplyDelete
  24. Both. Hard to pick one over the other

    ReplyDelete
  25. A game with single and multiplayer in, so when people are fucking cunts, I can go play by myself

    ReplyDelete
  26. XB1GC Not trying to be an asshole, but uh keep on topic with the community event and sway away from resharing a post back into the community. terribletimetraveler I dont give two shits, I was just the quickest games I could find to represent the poll.

    ReplyDelete
  27. Nathaniel Clay its since G+ has weird rules when it comes to when you can post. I could post separately but that's redundant making the same poll twice and if I wanted to post here first G+ will sometimes refuse to work in the this community alone.

  28. Though I prefer both, I find myself playing multiplayer alot more because since I pay for Xbox Live and PSN, I try to get my money's worth. I do play single player games as well but I feel the need to play online so I don't feel like I wasted my money on Xbox Live or PSN.

    ReplyDelete
  29. Pablo Henao That's understandable you paid for an service, so yeah it's great to get your money's worth indeed! I stay away from online memberships though.

  31. Nathaniel Clay I would love to but I have to have them if I want to play online.

    ReplyDelete
  32. Pablo Henao Well that's the price people have to pay ig

    ReplyDelete
  33. Single player because i can still play them 5 years after the game is made because i dont have to rely on servers

    ReplyDelete
  34. Multi-player games will get more popular when more games like no way out appear

    ReplyDelete
  35. Starwarsapple12 I returned a game after 5 minutes of ownership due to the people. This game had no offline mode. Did not last long for me.

    ReplyDelete
  36. Its 50/50, they both have pros and cons

    ReplyDelete
  37. What do u mean how? You play one and then play the next

    ReplyDelete
  38. I prefer single player, especially in today's world of online play. Now back in the day I did enjoy playing at the arcade or some couch co op.

    ReplyDelete
  39. ??? Multiplayer is still more fun... Especially on mc

    ReplyDelete
  40. Yeah but if you put them together its a hole different story

    ReplyDelete
  41. Like battlefield 3 they decided to put co-op so players can play the campaign with there friends. And today nobody plays co-op these days

    ReplyDelete
  42. Because you know why EA= *M O N E I

    ReplyDelete
  43. Bc EA doesn't even care about the fans want and they just want to screw around WW2 history with SJWs and the whole. (Fat nerd voice comes in ) battle royal war bull**. Can we just get another modern battlefield where we see Stg. Blackburn from battlefield 3 going to be a special ops marine in battlefield 6 special ops

    ReplyDelete
  44. This all depends on the game. I play a LOT of multiplayer games. But then disappear for a while on a single player binge

    ReplyDelete
  45. Wait what if single player games have multiplayer??

    ReplyDelete
  46. Battlefield 3 has is but its called special ops
