The Legend Of Zelda: Breath of The Wild Won GOTY!
So this year has been very interesting for gaming overall. Despite Zelda winning. they're were so many other great games as well such as Super Mario Odyssey, Persona 5, Horizon Zero Dawn and many others. What's your thought on the presentation?

I think Zelda got it from name alone, the game actively pushes you away from its Combat with stupid weapon fragility and makes it so you never want to use your top loot for fear it’ll break. You also have the (IMO) very bland open world and terrible boss design, it’s honestly an above average experience at best but sub par as a Zelda title.

ReplyDeleteI picked BoTW because it set out to accomplish a LOT more than most games and for the most part achieved it (didn't hurt that they flipped the script on a franchise that needed some shaking up). But genuinely curious where other people landed.
Cendre Gaming I think it won because of advertising system because they foucs on that from the start.

Yeah the game is very good in puzzle/exploration part,
But it feel short and missing alot of stuff in action/adventure department, which was the genre that I was concerned about and that why I kinda disappointed about this game.

There finally gave alot if good games in system which is a good thing, but my main concern was botw and how it feel incomplete to me, the the DLCs of the game starts to show up which kinda fix what the game actually need, if you think that they realize what missing and fill it up that a good thing,

ReplyDeleteZack Fawley I will say this one point on BOTW, It somewhat revived my love in open world titles. People lately look down upon open world games due to the fact that the worlds aren't jammed with things to do, but in reality BOTW and many other open world games want to explore exploration and want the person to want to look for something to do. This game greatly demonstrates this.
