That's pretty much everyone now. Bestbuy won't exactly give you the best prices for trades. Even Amazon. Either we sell the games ourselves or just keep it.
Sometimes they give you a decent amount it depends on the game lol. Last time I traded a bunch of games in I got enough trade credit to buy a ps4 and a couple games for it
Tyler Alholinna you are either lieing or are confusing gamestop for someone else my friend went to trade in 10 game's that where released in the same year and was only offered 15 dollar's
The only good trade i can recall was an original xbox. Before they stopped excepting xbox games and right at 360 release i traded my xbox which only would work on one game (luckily the one they tried) and got 125 for it when the new price was 200. Yep i screwed them for once
I regret turning in ANY game to them...should've held them all...I actually got descent prices for them... (games that hold value) they gave me $54 for a ps1 game a looooong time ago...can't remember the name of it to save my life...
Tacos Cure All I am well aware of both Gamestop's practices and who I sold it to, my friend. The games I happened to turn in were trading in for a price ranging from $22-$44 a piece. You just have to know what's good... and what isn't.
That isn't to say they're generous with what they're giving you back, and I'm far from defending them. I'm just relating a relatively recent story.
Tyler Alholinna look at the games all the Halos are in there Bioshock, most if not all of the Call of Duties, and a limited edition X-Box 360 with a skin.
3 recent ps4 games for 68$? You think that's a good deal? I've done it too but when I traded in a crapload of 360 games all I got was a One controller.
Ben Myers where else can you get better prices unless you take the time to sell them privately? And after that's all said and done, it's really not worth the difference and hassle...
This is the reason why I believe digital sales will eventually WIN out. Download it, play it, share it(hopefully), archive it. Only problem is once you buy it, theres's no return after purchase. I always wait for new releases to depreciate before I purchase, unless it's something like GTA5 or the Witcher 3. Anyway my .02,!
That's why I refuse to trade in anything. Collectors value will always be more. I can only imagine if I never traded in all those snes, sega, nintendo 64, playstation, playstation 2, xbox, xbox 360 games. Hundreds of dollars wasted.
And then sell every single one of them for at least $20.
ReplyDeleteLmao
ReplyDeleteLOL!!!!

ReplyDeleteSee, I gathered together 17 games that I guess are popular, maybe. I checked their trade in value on their site.
The next day, I traded in those 17 games for a grand total of $337.
So I guess a couple games sell well, but yeah... that's only a rare occasion.
Well they cant give you the cash register lel. Just sell them somewhere
